The latest outbreak of violence on the Korean peninsula seemed as if it was going to be business as usual. A brief spike in press and outrage then a gradual slide back into the status quo, but there are some indications that the Yeonpyeong Island attack could have a much greater impact than even the Cheonan sinking last March.
It will be interesting to wait and see what happens... in the meantime, I am deeply saddened by the additional loss of lives that have occurred as a result of the unpredictable security situation between the two Koreas.
